On my recent jalan-jalan through Tapah i passed this banglo.. actually i couldn't miss it. It was on the main road into Tapah from the south and it was in between the Petronas station and the Police station.
From the fenced up area and wide garden it must have belonged to a rich towkay, definitely not a Malay aristocrat.
From the way it has been preserved to its pre-war design the towkay's descendants must be educated and appreciative of their ancestry.
The house faces east and imagine opening the front window and looking up to the Titiwangsa Range of mountains and Cameron Highlands.
I tell you my Perak holds so much untold history.
