A Law Book To Aid Law Students

Peramjit Singh Bhullar presenting a copy of his book to YB Gobind Singh Deo Minister of Communications and Multimedia,
Peramjit Singh Bhullar, an examiner and lecturer who has taught law to undergraduate and postgraduate has authored and published a Law book entitled, “Malaysian Contract Law with Q&A 2019”

He joined University Tunku Abdul Rahman since 2010 as Law lecturer and lectures on average 400 to 500 students each year. However he feels that irrespective of how much hard work and effort a student instills while studying law subject, the ultimate test will be during the exam.

"One of the biggest problems students usually feel consists not only not understanding the principles of law but its application in a given situation.

Therefore the more a student prepares for Q&A, the better equipped they will be for that final hurdle".
..better equipped ..... with more Q & A

Local law books have always been scarce and therefore having this book is timely.

This ‘Easy Reader’ is specially prepared and compiled for any Malaysian student studying Malaysian contract law from intermediate to undergraduate level.

It allows students a good opportunity to practice exam types of questions and a guideline or sample answers are provided for “Every Chapter” to allow students to evaluate understanding of the subject

In any case, skill in revision and examination techniques is an art best acquired by actually practicing a lot of questions.

The book received positive feedback from its peer members and soon garnered a distribution deal from a major bookstore.

“Malaysian Contract Law with Q&A 2019” is available at MPH, Popular, Kinokuniya and Borders bookstores. It is priced at Rm36.

Peramjit is already working on his next books ‘The Law of Tort’ and ‘Malaysian Company Law’.

A Beautiful PONGGAL Morning At St Michael’s Institution

A PONGGAL morning.  Colorful dancers at the morning assembly at St Michael's Institution
“Malaysia is a land of diverse cultures” so said Mr Sit Wai Yin the Principal of St Michael’s Institution, Ipoh on his Fb page this morning.

Love this photo for its multiracial composition

He was commenting at this mornings school assembly which featured him and his staff celebrating the cultural Harvest festival.

Indeed it was a colorful morning and so truly Malaysian when I viewed the photos. The dancers were a multi-racial composition which made it all the more warming to note.

Principal Sit, in pink shirt, with his staff
" Wishing you all a very Happy Ponggal".

Exercise Daily For Longevity – Says 102yo Resident of Simee Old Folks Home

Exercise daily advises  Kuan Lek 102 year old resident of Simee home
The key to longevity is to exercise daily. This is the testimony of 102 year old Kuan Lek a resident of Simee Old Folks Home.  He made this amazing revelation at the Annual Christmas party and Buffet lunch at the home recently.

Kuan Lek despite his age was alert and attributed this to his daily exercise routine each morning which consists of 30 minutes ensuring movement of all his limbs. Regarding his diet he does not avoid any food and eats rice as usual.

Mary Chin,97 another resident of
Simee home
Vincent Lee, the Chairman of Simee Old Folks Home said Kuan Lek became a resident of the Home ten years ago.

“He used to be a Tai Chi practitioner and exercised daily until he broke his leg in August 2018. He still exercises on his bed daily since he is on wheelchair now”.

Another resident celebrating her birthday was Mary Chin Swee Yoon, 97, the former cook at Our Lady of Lourdes church Silibin. Among the priests she served include Archbishop Emeritus Murphy Pakiam. Mary was admitted to the Home in 2010.

Among the guests that attended the lunch was Bishop Sebastian Francis, Father Anthony Liew and Canning Councillor Wong Kar Keat. Later they joined Vincent to distribute Christmas goodies to the residents.

Distinguished guests included Bishop Sebastian Francis (2nd from right) standing next to Vincent Lee (Simee Home
