Opened by Ong Beng Kee and his daughter Angeline Nura Azura the concept of Kafe Jun Chillax is to keep the meals affordable and serve the dishes that are popular with the diners.

“The idea is to come in for a meal with a nice and cooling environment, reasonable good taste and ample parking and which won’t burn a hole in your pocket and enjoy your meal” said Ong.

“We have a Hainanese and a Cantonese cook each. I plan on having set menus such as Portugese and Indian cuisine and probably a ‘curry tiffin serving’ as I used to work in the estates”.

Hainan Chicken curry served with bread.
I choose the nasi ulam and a quail dish named ‘Birds of Paradise’, eggs included and finished it off with the Sago Melaka for desert.

Understanding Private Bill 355.

Went for an event last night, RUU355: Realities, Fiction and How does it affect you

RUU355 is PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang’s proposed Bill to enhance Shariah punishments when it is tabled in the upcoming Parliament meeting on March 6.

I arrived late. There were only two speakers in attendance Siti Kassim and Azrul Mohd Khalib.

The attendance was sparse but the discussion was healthy and informative.

There was one thing they asked us to do which was to contact our Member for Parliament and ask them if they were for RUU355 or against it.

Azrul Mohd Khalib and Siti Kassim listening to a question
posed by Dr Jeyakumar MP for Sungai Siput
My MP is DAP / Thomas Su Keong Siong so i know he is against it.

But I would like to hear the stand by members the likes of Ahmad Husni (BN/UMNO/ Tambun) , Mastura (BN/UMNO/ K.Kangsar), Datuk Saravanan (BN/ MIC),Laksama(Rtd) Abdul Hamid (PKR/ Lumut), Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong (Gerakan/ Telok Intan) and probably Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan (BN/MCA) just to have a feel as to how the vote will swing.

Are they For or Against it?

From what was said RUU355 is only a political ploy to swing for votes for BN but could be a turning point to allow implementation of Syariah Law/ Hudud.
