Brown-throated Sunbird

Managed to capture this Brown Throated Sunbird this morning.

It comes most mornings to help itself to the nectar from my 'ginger like flowers"  (don't know the name of the flower).

It is quite difficult to capture. Usually it comes before 8am and quickly flits from flower to flower then it is gone till the next day.

A Pit Party – For the Honda Civic Type R

It was all that a party should be, a Pit Party that is.

Sporty and sleek it was Honda’s Champion of Champions the Honda Civic Type R. Held at the only Honda Sport dealer in Perak, Ban Hoe Seng Auto it was the centre of attraction.

Throw in the sexy Candylicious models, dancers, lucky draws not forgetting the delicious food and drinks it was night to be remembered.

For a change Ban Hoe Seng Auto’s view of the showroom at night had been transformed, literally, with ‘lighted stools on a green lawn’ and soft light to put the patrons in the mood.

Will this be the image of Honda - Ban Hoe Seng Auto for the future, fun, vibrant and in tune with the community,  it certainly looks positive.

Similarly at the markets of Cempaka and Jelapang this morning patrons listened to what the veteran politician had to say.

At  Taman Cempaka stall holders greeted Lim and residents took turns to be photographed with him.

When questioned about the possibility of Pakatan returning to power in Perak he said the chances were ‘good’

“Not only in Perak but nationally too.  In the urban areas the Chinese, Indian and now the Malays in the urban areas want change.

Outside the food court, residents and stall holders listen to Lim.

“For the rural areas are we are seeing an awakening and a political consciousness by the Malay voter. This is in the rural areas and FELDA schemes.

If we can have this ‘rural tsunami’ and sustain the urban vote, where urban voters were disenchanted with the ability to change, we can bring about change.

This is where Dr Mahathir and Parti Bersatu is important and have played a role to awaken the consciousness of the rural Malays.

Bersatu is doing its part and Mahathir is playing his role so the chances are good for the possibility of change and Malaysia becoming a normal democracy.

“These eight themes will be present in the plans and programs we intend to carry out for the coming year”.

“We do not seem to know how to handle this ministry. Whatever we acquired earlier doesn’t seem to be working and becomes an endless challenge and is a struggle in the parish.

However we mustn’t shut the youth off but keep finding ways and means to respond and keep inviting them as they struggle and discover their own faith in their own life

I hope the Parish will think of new ways and ideas to reach out to them so that they won’t be lost”

Fr Joe Stephen thanked the members for their time and effort to be present for this Parish Assembly to share their insights, success stories and challenges.

“We are collectively one people one Parish of different language groups but we are trying to work together”
