BRIM... Merdeka Marathon


No you don’t get anything, if any you will contribute your time and vocals to reading the Bible non-stop for 84 hours.

Welcome to B.R.I.M or the Bible Reading Ipoh Marathon to bless our City and Nation and to celebrate our 60th year of independence in a special way.

Organised by Ipoh Pastors Fellowship the purpose is to declare the word of God within 84 hours and also to bring the Churches together to complete the Bible

Co-ordinator for the event Rev Christie Kuan said the event began on the 28 August at 6am and will finish at 6pm on the August 31st 84 hours later.


A total of 28 churches are participating. Each Church group will read for 3 hours averaging 15 minutes per individual reader.

Each reader is allocated 15 minutes and is alerted when the time is up


Each church should have 12 readers but if they are short of readers as in the graveyard hour from midnight till 6.am some will have to read double.

"We end on the 31st our national day hence we will end with a prayer for the country as part of our closing ceremony.
“This year is our 60th year of independence.  It is the first time we have organized this event so we are doing it for the country and city as well” said Kuan.
