First Health Screening Day At OMPH Church

OMPH Church successful 1st Health Screening Day
Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church held its first Health Screening Day and on Sunday 7 July 2019 and it was a huge success. Over 500 participants turned up to receive free health screenings.

It was organised by OMPH’s Parish Human Development Committee (PHDC) in collaboration with the Simee Health Clinic, Kinta District Health Office and Pertubuhan Pembangunan Insan Sikh Perak.

The activities included free screening of Body Mass Index. Blood sugar, Blood pressure, Mammogram, PAP Smear, Health Consultation, Dental Screening and Eye screening. Doctors were on site to answer all health concerns and all activities were well patronized.

There were several health talks that touched on Diabetes and Common Eye Problems in the Elderly while Pertubuhan Pembangunan Insan Sikh sponsored 100 free reading glasses.

PHDC Chairman Raphael Lourdesamy said the objective of organizing the event was for health and wellness of the senior parishoners of the church.

The feedback received from those who attended was the event should be organized at least once a year.
