Laudato Si’ ….Pets Blessing … Say What!

That's what took place on Sunday 1st October in OMPH Church grounds.  Fr Joseph Stephen, Fr Paul Kee and Fr Robin were on hand to bless pets of Parishoners.

There were dogs of all sizes, cats, rabbits, terrapins even hamsters.

All of Gods creatures congregated for the special blessing as part of Pope Francis’ call to pray the encyclical  “Laudato Si” – meaning “Praise be to You” an invitation to reflect on our creation , the earth, our natural resources, deforestation and development.

It must have been a blessed congregation as none of animals were agitated. Cats and dogs looked at each other and that was cool or rabbits with a Rottweiler next to it was so totally natural.

You could say that it was a Beautiful Sunday.
