BSN Bank On 6th April ...For Stimulus / Aid Package

Always admired this building ..BSN Bank

At BSN head office yesterday morning. Always admired this architecture. Anyway the crowd here was orderly and'socially distanced' apart. Of course the 'boys-in-blue' PDRM was there to assist.

There were two queues ..... the counter queue and 

...and those that had ATM accounts .......

.....an bank officer adding more sanitiser.

.... very organised but came away disappointed ....

Covid19 Lockdown And Clear Blue Skies

This Lockdown due to the Covid19 Pandemic has brought out such clear blue skies throughout the day. Took the photo above at 1pm from the overhead bridge at Jalan Tasek.

Clean and clear highway, hills in the background and clean white clouds against a clear blue sky. Beautiful.

Similarly in the evening at 7pm a setting sun against a blue  sky.  This is NATURE..Arhhh

Closing Of A Hotel Brings Back Memories Of A Turbulent Year 2009

Yesterday the Tower Regency hotel announced that it would be closing its doors on the 31st of April 2020.

The hotel opened its doors on January 2009. I remember it well because it brought back memories of a time when Perak would experience its biggest political crisis. 

Coincidentally it was also the time former Sultan Azlan Shah was about to celebrate his 25th anniversary after ascending the throne.
  

The grand Jubilee event was held at the Istana Iskandariah, Kuala Kangsar on the 3 February 2009.

Perak at the time was under a Pakatan Rakyat government but was going through a turbulent time as two PKR reps of the ruling coalition had defected to the BN camp. 

On 4 Feb when the DAP representative Hee Yit Fong who was also a deputy speaker had declared herself as an independent and BN friendly it prompted the onset of a political crisis in the state.
