..the incorrect signage ..last week ... |
Well in this case it is recognition of a persons contribution to the town and country.
This refers
to the signage “Bulatan Lau Pak Khuan” which was erected last week at the circus
intersection of Jalan Canning Estate and Jalan Dato' Lau Pak Khuan next to
Maybank Ipoh Garden.
I wanted to
complain that the signage was very wrong for it stated ‘Bulatan Lau Pak Khuan’ and not ‘Bulatan Dato' Lau Pak Khuan” as
it rightly should be addressed. It was clearly stated in the road signage
displayed nearby.
But luckily the signage was removed on Sunday 8th December..presumably by MBI ..... supposedly to be corrected accordingly.
..the signage is removed on 8th December .... |
Well we
shall see the outcome, hopefully soon.

The owners and pets gather around Fr Joseph for a prayer followed by blessing |
St Francis of Assisi is the Catholic Church's
patron saint of animals and the environment. The event was held outside St
Joseph’s chapel at OMPH’s backyard field at 3pm.
Rev Fr Joseph
Stephens blessed the menagerie of pets including those that showed up late. Though
the main pets were dogs but there was a few cats and one who brought his bird.
It may have been traumatic for the pets seeing so many ‘strangers’ outside of their usual habitat. However their owners were very happy ‘introducing them’ to the family church.
A Happy afternoon.

Three tents and a threating sky |
The annual Michaelian Dinner is held every September. I attended this years dinner. I couldn't make the Chapel mass. Heard that close to 100 attended the mass. That was great.
It was threatening to pour when I arrived which it did. But that didn’t dampen the spirits of the Old Boys. Typical of a tropical storm it came fast and furious but then it blew over and then it was cool. Thereafter it was a nice evening . The camaraderie was lively and jolly with genre age music and flowing beverage. The night was ripe for an evening of reminisceing.
