Day 8: The Golden Book.

On the eight day of the Novena Fr Joseph Stephen blessed the Golden Book of Our Mother of Perpetual Help.

The Golden Book is a compilation of all the donors who contributed to the Church building fund.

“The first donor towards the fund was Mrs Yeoh Khuan Joo with a sum of $200.00 in the year 1960. Most of the donations at that time averaged $5.00” said Fr Stephen.

 Our Mother of Perpetual Help was blessed and opened by the Rt Rev Gregory Yong , Bishop of Penang on the 15^th April 1972. Its first Parish Priest was the late Fr James Wallace, CSsr.

The Homily for the night was ‘The Wider Family” delivered by Rev Fr Michael Raymond, OFM Cap.
