Ray with friends and colleagues at Lata Iskandar waterfalls |
Perak is the best state of the whole of Peninsula Malaysia. It’s got hills with caves and extinct fossils, rivers and waterfalls that excite, ex tin mines and estates and a long shoreline that stretches from Penang to Selangor with 2 great islands . Well the islands were better earlier but still great….in short a fantastic all round playground for everyone.
Ray from Simpang Pulai... |
Ray works in
Johore Bahru. He invited his colleagues to spend the weekend hanging out in his
hometown Simpang Pulai and while here he would show them around.
Boy did he
show them around. Ray took them for a 180Km round trip cycle ride from Simpang
Pulai up to Cameron Highlands via the Tapah using the old road Jalan Pahang and
completing the circuit via Brinchang / Pos Slim and back home.
‘The whole
circuit takes only about 8hours including stopovers’ said Ray nonchalantly when
I asked the duration of the journey.
...stopover for a break .... then |
...about to take off again |
