A very common sight in Ipoh. I used to see green ones gliding down from casuriana trees. Casuriana trees has been out of fashion for many years and not suitable for space conscious Ipoh. Those that lined Ipoh Padang had long gone due to old age.
Talking about which there were two growing monitor lizards living in an open drain behind our childhood home in Canning Gardens. The last time in 2019, they had grown to about 4 feet.
