Malay bands are my
latest interest. They are innovative and into all sorts of new music, eg 'Brit Pop' so that in
itself is progressive.
But I wasn’t prepared
for Skinheads. That’s like a generation past ….. like in the 1990’s era.
But Skinheads are still
around …in Ipoh…and they were kicking up the scene just fine last Saturday 7
October 2017 … at Insider Satellite Ipoh.
The band playing when I
arrived was 'UnXpected'. The singer sang in English, and sounded pretty good and
got a good audience response too. It was spontaneity and he rocked.

Looked like the fans
that night could have got a haircut just before attending coz their styles were cut pretty close.
And their dressing, was dated no doubt, but definitely a blast from the past.
Earlier the bands performing
were oFFside, KARATZ, GangStar and a few more. The UnXpected singer invited
them onstage for a jam and I managed to get a photoshot of them.
Definitely the members
were in their thirties or more but this was in their time and UnXpected were doing it for
their fans and possibly to reminiscence their youth.
