No this is
not ‘modern art’ but MBI’s missing Decorative Lamps along Jalan Datoh / Jalan
Leong Boon Swee. I bet they cost more than a pretty penny when first erected.
Twelve lamps
were erected at the bridge but till now there is only 1 or maybe half of it is
still there. A nearby resident had reported to ‘citizen journalist’ last week there
was 2 remained .

The resident reported this
week only one remained. He said the remaining lamp was damaged and happened this week
as he saw broken glass on the road.
Citizen
Journalist mentioned that in the old days Police would stand by the old
bridge to catch traffic offenders. If this were true it might help MBI save the
stumps of what’s left of the Decorative Lamps.
I wonder if
the Hugh Low Street bridge lamps are still intact ?
