Gopeng 2018 Pre – Chinese New Year Celebration

A pre - Chinese New Year celebration held in Gopeng was so quaint it was like having a small village gathering where everyone could attend meaning Chinese, Malay, Indian and even Orang Asli.

At Jalan Eu Kong where the event was held.

Held at Jalan Eu Kong the nostalgic and heritage enclave where the Gopeng Museum, Gopeng Square and a host of other heritage and touristy looking outlets are located it was the ideal setting for a pre New Year event.

Organised by the MCA together with NGO’s it was officiated by Datuk Heng Seai Kie, Wanita MCA Chief on Saturday 10 February.

Lanterns, lion dances and receiving golden orange 'kam'

As it was held at the square the townsfolk, indeed both young and old showed up and joined in the festivities.

Food of all kinds were available
