Themed
“Reimagining Ipoh in a Different Light” will focus on introducing a little art
and entertainment to Ipoh’s sleepy evenings and nights.
“The
festival is about discovering Ipoh from a different point of view from the by
night” said Kakiseni President Low Ngai Yuen.

Yesterday’s
launch was held at the Kinta Riverwalk by the Kinta river at 7pm, it was after
dark and raining.

“Ipoh has a
history of tin mining and the Kinta River is symbolic in that it was rich and
abundant and it had brought fortunes to the communities of this town”

The festival
plans to introduce light art installations by up-and-coming local artists and
perk up the evening with music and poetry performances to celebrate the
wonderful heritage of Ipoh with tours and exhibitions.

Venues for various
exhibitions will be held at different place such as at Kinta Riverwalk, Yasmin
at Kong Heng, Sepaloh Art Centre and some more.
