A state wide cleanliness campaign “Perak Clean Campaign” will
kick off tomorrow morning simultaneously across the state.
It will be launched by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri DiRaja Dr Zambry
Abd Kadir tomorrow morning March 31 at Ipoh Padang at 8.30am in the vicinity of
the Ipoh Tourist Information Centre (ITIC).
“Perak Clean Campaign” is driven by the Perak state government
to encourage people to be responsible for its cleanliness and sustainability of
the environment.
The Mayor of Ipoh Datuk Zamry Man announced the event this morning
at the monthly Full Board Meeting.
“The main objective of this campaign is to be a state not
just providing infrastructure and public services but encourages a culture of healthy
living and environmental cleanliness.”
An estimated 10,000 people are expected to participate in
tomorrow’s campaign consisting of school student’s, government agencies and NGO’s
from the private sector.
Tomorrows launch will involve several areas and includes Medan
Kidd, Ipoh Railway Station, Ipoh’s Old Town
Heritage Trail before converging at ITIC.
The campaign is run state wide and will be run until
December.
There will be a live feed of the launch ‘Perak Yang Bersih / Perak
Clean Campaign” tomorrow 31 March 2017 telecast live on the official Perak Fb page
displaying all activities in and around
