ANNOUNCEMENT: VPY2017 Awareness Campaign / Contest.

With Visit Perak Year 2017 / VPY2017 around the corner Perak Tourism has initiated an awareness campaign cum contest titled “Celebrating Visit Perak Year2017@My Perak Green & Clean Campaign”

The competition started from October 25 and will close on November 25.

State Exco for Tourism Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohammed Radzi who announced the campaign said the goal was to increase awareness of VPY2017.

“The campaign while emphasizing on the fun and beauty aspect will also create awareness for hygiene and various other aspects in order to foster a sense of community responsibility throughout the state.

This competition involves not only government agencies but also private companies, hotels, eateries and travel products and is open to individuals to ensure a successful competition.

For local authorities their focus will include landscape, cleanliness and beautification , infrastructure and public amenities while the private category will relate to hotels and food places.

There are two categories for Individuals who wish to participate.

Under the ‘Public Best’ category the participants are required to capture photographs of “Interesting Places in Perak” and submit their entries via Instagram or Facebook.

The video category requires individuals to a produce short video ‘Best Story of Perak’ within a maximum length of 60 seconds on interesting topics of Perak on places of interest, food or heritage. Video entries are to be submitted via You Tube or Facebook.

For both categories the entries must be hash-tagged ‘ letscelebratingvisitperakyear2017 ‘ before submission online.  Ten handphones/ ipads await the winners for each public category.

Individuals wishing to participate are advised to register with Perak Tourism at No 22, Jalan Teh Hawa, 30300, Ipoh Perak. A copy of the registration form is attached or can be downloaded from Perak Tourism.
