BEC  (Basic Ecclesiastical Community) St. Joseph, Mass held with Fr. Staney at the home of Irene and Peter Choong.

The Mass was held in preparation of  our Parish Feast Day beginning this Friday 15 June.

Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Klang Annual Pilgrimage Visits OMPH Church

OLL Pilgrims at the Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help

Forty five senior citizens from Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Klang visited the Church of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, Ipoh on the afternoon of 11 June 2018.

It was their Senior Citizens Ministry Annual Pilgrimage Trip.

Senior Citizens Chairman Daniel Chacko said the pilgrimage started from 8 June and covered the churches from Kangar, Alor Setar, Nibong Tebal and Bukit Mertajam before coming to Ipoh 

OMPH Parish Priest Fr Joseph Stephen was on hand to greet the guests and were treated to tea and snacks.

Chacko reciprocated by presenting Fr Joseph with a booklet commemorating the 90^th Anniversary of Our Lady of Lourdes.

Shopping for souvenirs ... a blessing and 

...a prayer then adieu

Before they left Fr Joseph said a prayer for a safe journey and then it was time for the pilgrims to say adieu.

RIP .... Fr John Martin

Fr John Martin has returned to the Lord yesterday 9 June 2018 in Perth Australia.

The OMPH website showed that he had been with OMPH Parish since 1972 when he was the Assistant Parish Priest to Fr James Wallace.

In 1978  he  was made the Parish Priest and held that post until 1980.

Fr Martin served the Tamil speaking community in the Parish due to his fluency in Tamil.

A priest he was but he was a right cobber and will long be remembered.

Perak Based Companies Contribute RM1Million To THM

Yee Lee Corporation & Spritzer Berhad collaborated and donated RM1 million to the official trust fund, Tabung Harapan Malaysia (THM).

A great start by these 2 Perak companies to take the lead by Corporate Malaysia in contributing toward the fund. 

Wouldn’t it be nice to see other big Perak companies contributing too like Gamuda, Sunway, Taiko and more?

Monday May 21 …. The Start Of A New Malaysia

A new Malaysian cabinet was sworn in on this day 21 May 2018. 

After 61 years of having been governed under the Alliance / Barisan National the whiff that breezed in Pakatan Harapan was like the proverbial 'breath of fresh air'.

It was also the first time we experienced a truly Malaysian Malaysia since Merdeka and it felt like a 2nd Merdeka.

This man, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammed, one time BN Prime Minister turned opposition galvanized the opposition parties against a kleptocratic government and won.

Hannah Yeoh described this photo of these YAB's as 'cute' but to me they look like 'Rascals' out to change the status quo
