Ipoh Timor – Capable Candidates and Young

The Ipoh Timor team. Dr Abdul Aziz Bari, Wong, Howard Lee and Jenny Choi with Nga Kor Meng
The Ipoh Timor (P64) seat consists of the state seats of Canning, Pasir Puteh and Tebing Tinggi.

The parliament candidate for GE14 this year is Wong Kah Woh formerly the state representative of Canning. Wong is replaced by Jenny Cheng who until recently was his political secretary.

The former MP for Ipoh Timor was Thomas Su Keong Siong who has now been tasked to stand in the parliamentary seat of Kampar.

Tebing Tinggi formerly was represented by Ong Boon Piow but he has been replaced by constitutional law expert Dr Abdul Razak Bari. Ong will now go to Bercham.

According to statement on Wong’s Fb page Tebing Tinggi has become a 57% Malay majority seat after the re-delineation and presumably the reason why Dr Aziz Bari replaced Ong.

The only one that has remained unchanged is Howard Lee for Pasir Pinji.

I like the set up here. Wong, Jenny as well as Howard are young and as for Dr Aziz Bari he is a logical and practical choice.

As for Thomas and Ong it’s starting out again going for their walkabouts to meet their constituents.
